How a comprehensive exam runs

  1. Pre-testing, 10 minutes. Retinal imaging, intraocular pressure, and a visual field screen with our technician.
  2. History, 5 minutes. Medications, family eye history, screen hours, and what bothers you day to day.
  3. Refraction, 15 minutes. The lens-by-lens comparison that produces your prescription.
  4. Eye health, 15 minutes. Slit lamp and retinal review for glaucoma, cataracts, macular changes, and diabetic damage.
  5. Plan, 15 minutes. Dr. Weber walks through the images with you, answers questions, and writes the plan. Then the optical team takes over if you need eyewear.

Insurance and payment

We bill VSP, EyeMed, and Davis Vision directly, plus most Regence and Premera medical plans for medical eye visits. Bring your member ID and we quote your out-of-pocket cost before the exam starts.

Self-pay comprehensive exams are 129 dollars. HSA and FSA cards are accepted for exams, lenses, and frames.
